St. Joseph’s Day Wrap Party Fundraiser!!!

Join us Wednesday, March 20th, from 5-7pm, as we wrap up the Diocese of Scranton’s “Rectory, Set, Cook!” fundraiser with a St. Joseph’s Day themed party at Breaker Brewing Company in Wilkes-Barre Township, which is in the former St. Joseph’s Monastery!!!

We’ll celebrate St. Joseph’s Day (one day late – but on the day traditionally set aside to honor this great saint (Wednesday) as we also honor the revered religious history behind Breaker Brewing Company and encourage voting for your favorite pastor chef/team with less than a week to go in the competition!

We’ll also pull our “Rectory, Set, Cook!” foodie basket raffle winners. If present, winners may take baskets home immediately.

Lastly, we’ll kick the keg together as we pour the last of our first-ever “Rectory, Set, Cook!” collaboration limited-edition beer release, Forty Days Doppelbock. Every time you drink this beer and purchase a four-pack to go, you help fight hunger and homelessness in your local community.

The wrap party fundraiser is open to the public who are encouraged to attend. Admission is a $20 donation per person, which includes admission to the fundraiser, your first draft beer, plus a food buffet including traditional pizza and white/spinach pizza (in honor of the first greens of spring and the Italian celebration of St. Joseph’s Day), haluski (in honor of St. Joseph’s Day’s ties to Poland and one of NEPA’s favorite Lenten foods), veggie & dip trays, meat & cracker trays, and an assortment of colorful St. Joseph’s Day desserts.

For each $20 ticket purchased, $10 will be returned to the Diocese of Scranton in support of “Rectory, Set, Cook!” and this year’s pastor chefs.

Weather permitting, this party will take place on the patio. If inclement or cold weather is expected, the party will be inside the brewery, the same location as the “Rectory, Set, Cook!” launch party.
